About Jaclyn

I’m a graduate of Acadia University. I got my History and English degrees with Honours near the end of the Acadia Advantage program, where students started taking laptops to classes. It revolutionized learning. This website will also offer a huge advantage to students who check it out on a regular basis. After I graduated from Acadia, I got my Master of Library and Information Studies from Dalhousie University. There, I became familiar with enhanced research strategies.

However, along the way I made some mistakes. I wish I’d had a site like this to help me when I was committing these errors. For example, when I did my English thesis, I did it on sentimental literature. This type of literature fictionalizes the kind of struggle that is found in the Book of Job in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. I had a definite opinion that the book I was basing my thesis on was not a satire. My thesis supervisor disagreed profoundly with me. Because my take on the subject was very new and original, I could not find much research that agreed with my opinion. My mistake was that whenever you do a research project, whether it be a major thesis or a regular paper, you need to back up your claims with research.

Another smaller mistake I made was that since no one in my family had ever been to university, I did not know some of the policies and procedures. So one time when I was sick, I forced myself to write an exam that I was really not prepared for. My mark suffered. All I needed to do was get a sick note, and I could have kept up my high grade in the course.

Why pay hundreds of dollars for a tutor when you can find out all of the information you need here. If you have a question, email me. I’m open when the library is closed! I answer my emails personally, and will get back to you as soon as I can. I’m also setting up a Facebook group for members of this site.
